Summary

Ocean Upwards is our first official employability programme using radio and music production to build self-confidence and employability skills in sixteen young people aged 16-25 living in Torbay. 

Key Aims
Participants will be able to:  

• Discuss and describe confidently their own skills and strengths 
• Develop evidence of their commitment and ability through work experience. Including having a personal professional achievement (e.g writing music or producing a radio show) 
• Feel more confident about their ability to positively contribute in the work place
• Have discovered and developed a new skill set, including a mix of specialist (e.g digital production) and transferable skills (e.g communication skills).
